When the world’s on fire
Welcome to my portfolio. With everything that’s going on in this world right now it’s easy to feel like nothing matters, like everything that’s been fought for and won is slipping through our fingers. I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I refuse to let the hate win, to let it bring me down. I will find beauty in this world, and I will fight to keep it and take back what they are trying to take.
“When armageddon’s been locked and loaded. I will come back for you!” -Bane, Swan Song
Father’s Joy…
Another one from the Pocket Dimension show and Father’s Joy shook the walls with their music.
Dandelioness
As promised here is more from Sunday’s show. All of these are of the wonderful Dandelioness and if you haven’t heard her please go check her out. You’ll be glad you did.
When Music and Books Collide
What happens when you put a bunch of muscians in an independent bookstore? You get an amazing night and more photos than you can count. I’ll have plenty more coming in the next few days.
The River…
For as long as I can remember I have been going to the Thousand Islands in New York. And because things got busy, I didn’t go for ten years, last week I got to go back and sitting on the banks of the river was the recharge I didn’t know I needed. And I made sure to bring my camera to share with you.
7 years in Dogtown…
When your barbershop celebrates their 7 year anniversary you know you got to show up with the camera. Vintage cars, Smash Bros, and great people, enough said.
Roller Rink Fun…
When you go to Nashville you probably should go check out all the things that the city is known for. When I go to Nashville I find myself at a roller rink. But I did make sure to walk around downtown a little bit too.
It’s been a minute
I’m still here but life’s been busy and the camera just hasn’t been able to get out as much as I’d like. But things have calmed down and the camera has come back out to play so here is a collection of what has caught my eye lately.
New year same dumpster fire
Not that I expected any different but the world is still on fire so here’s a little distraction from a few hours out and about.
When your friend has a cool job…
When your friend is a pen maker you have a responsibility to bring your camera when you’re going to hang out in his shop…..
I’ve been busy
But just not with photography, well not as much as I’d like but I still had a chance to get up the mountain and as always I find something that catches my eye.
Some pre holiday randomness
Life has been pretty busy lately but I did get a chance to get out and shoot a bit. So here’s some hiking mixed with some pen club fun, and a dash of the zoo at night.
Lonely Spider
Just one little one today as life’s been a bit busy. We had lots of wind and rain the other day and this little spider was doing it’s best to stay dry.
It never gets old.
I keep going to the same places, shooting the same rocks and skylines. Yet it never gets old. I find new interesting ways to see the world through the camera and as long as I do I’ll continue to share that with you.
I was promised scenic views.
I was told I had to go somewhere, that the views were tough to beat. They were not as good as I had hoped and I had worried that I had driven so long for nothing. But the day was beautiful so I hiked. And in the end I did not get the shots I had thought I would, but I’m still really happy with the few I walked away with.
A Mill and A Mountain
Finding a new spot to explore is always great, but even with everything out there sometimes you can’t help but go back to one of your first muses to see what you might find.
There’s something about Black & White
When I first started photography (many many years ago) it was in black and white. And lately I’ve really fallen in love with black and white again so here’s an assortment of new photos with a couple of re-edits now in black and white.
Ren Faire Fun
Had the chance to go to a Ren Faire today and had a blast getting photos of the knights and other performers.
